Lusatia is making its pre­sence felt at the Real Estate Arena 2026 in Han­over: Together, 21 partners from Branden­burg and Sax­ony are pre­senting Europe’s “First Net Zero Valley”—with spe­cific sites, stream­lined proce­dures, and major invest­ment pro­jects. On June 10 and 11, the Lausitz Indus­trial Park will be there.

The future of the chemical industry was dis­cussed in Berlin—and we were right in the thick of it. Our manage­ment team from BASF InfraService & Solutions Lausitz GmbH atten­ded the Handels­blatt Annual Con­ference on the Chemical Industry 2026 to gain insights into and help shape the industry’s transfor­mation.

The Dresden-based hydrogen com­pany Sunfire will con­struct a test facility in the indus­trial park to fur­ther validate its highly ef­ficient high-temperature elec­trolysis tech­nology (SOEC). Com­mission­ing is scheduled for the end of this year. 

On May 4, International Firefighters' Day, we would like to thank the entire plant fire department team. They are on call around the clock, ready to respond within seconds—to protect people, facilities, and the environment. The department provides an essential service within and around the industrial park and is a critical safety factor for our customers.
 

The key phase of preparations for the commissioning of the electric boiler at the Industrial Park Lausitz has begun. The plant, a joint venture with 50 Hertz, is scheduled to go into operation this fall. It will then serve as an additional option for steam generation alongside the gas and steam turbine power plant.

Two days, 20 experts, and a shared goal: the highest power quality for a clean, stable power grid. The meeting of the VDE Dresden Working Group on “Grid Interactions,” held for the first time at the Industrial Park Lausitz, focused on topics related to power quality, research, and current developments.
