4. embedded YouTube videos
a. Data processing
We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offering, which are stored on the YouTube platform and can be played directly from our website. YouTube is a service of Google LLC, D / B / A YouTube, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). The videos are all embedded in the so-called "2-click solution". This means that no data about you as a user will be transmitted to Google if you do not activate the video function. Before the video function is activated, only a preview image loaded from our own web server is displayed.
Data is only transmitted to Google if you activate such video functions. Once activated, we have no influence on this data transfer. Data is transferred regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account.
b. Purposes and legal bases
We use YouTube videos on our website to present them in a simple way.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a) GDPR. You give this consent by activating the video function. If activated, your personal data will be transferred to Google as described above.
During the data transfer to Google, your personal data will be transferred to Google servers, which may also be located in the USA. The USA is a country without a level of data protection adequate to that of the EU. This means in particular that the US authorities can access personal data in a simplified manner and that there are only limited rights to such measures. If you activate the YouTube video function, you expressly consent to the transfer of data to Google and the transfer of your personal data to servers in the USA.
If you have given your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
You can withdraw your consent at any time for the future by deactivating the "YouTube" category slider in the cookie settings.
c. Further information
Further information on data processing, in particular on the legal basis and storage period of Google, can be found in the provider's privacy policy(https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in the privacy banner on the YouTube platform. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy.

a. Data processing
We have embedded LinkedIn content in our online offering that is stored on the LinkedIn platform and can be viewed directly from our website. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "LinkedIn"). The content is embedded in so-called "2-click mode", which means that no data about you as a user is transferred to LinkedIn if you do not activate the content. Before the content is activated, only a preview image loaded from your own web server is displayed.
Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn if you activate the content. After activation, we no longer have any influence on this data transfer. Data is transmitted regardless of whether LinkedIn provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to LinkedIn, your data will be assigned directly to your account.
b. Purposes and legal basis
We use LinkedIn content on our website to present it to you in a simple way.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You give this consent by activating the content. In the event of activation, your personal data will be transferred to LinkedIn as described above.
As part of the data transfer to LinkedIn, your personal data will be transferred to LinkedIn servers, which may also be located in the USA. The USA is a country that does not have an adequate level of data protection compared to the EU. This means in particular that personal data can be viewed more easily by US authorities and that there are only limited rights to such measures. If you activate LinkedIn content, you expressly consent to the transfer of data to LinkedIn and to the transfer of your personal data to servers in the USA.
If you have given your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
You can revoke your consent at any time for the future by deactivating the "LinkedIn" category slider in the Cookie Preference Center.

Only when you click on the logos will you be redirected to the respective website. Further data about you may be processed on these websites.
We have no influence on this data processing on the respective linked websites.
7. direct marketing
If you have given us your consent to do so, we will process your personal data to send you personalized information about BASF products, events, web seminars and services that we consider relevant to you via the communication channels you have chosen and to conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
In order to determine your professional needs and interests, we combine and analyze the personal data we have collected about you in the context of your relationship with BASF as a customer or user of BASF products and services (in particular your contract and master data, the products you have purchased, samples, demos, brochures or whitepapers you have requested or downloaded, webinars you have registered for, surveys you have participated in, etc.).
